David Looye serves as the Facilities Manager for UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant. He oversees the maintenance of the buildings and facilities, working with staff and volunteers to ensure a comfortable and beautiful environment.

Prior to his work with Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant, David served in the United States Army for 23 years. He retired in 2013 and served as the Assistant Director of Facilities at Savannah Technical College.

David received his associate of applied science degree at North Central Texas College. He lives on Wilmington Island and enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He loves boating and fishing, and is pursuing his OUPV captain’s license.
