Gambill is a public service faculty member at UGA, serving as the coastal resilience specialist for Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant. Since 2010, she has provided technical assistance to coastal communities in planning and responding to sea level rise, flooding and storm surge. As a social scientist, she also conducts innovative transdisciplinary research related to the perception, comprehension and visualization of flood risks.
Before calling Athens home, Gambill lived in five countries on five different continents. She holds a bachelor’s in philosophy from Cardiff University in Wales, a master’s in peace and conflict Studies from the University of Sydney in Australia and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Geography and Integrative Conservation at UGA.
