Join us for our annual Research Symposium on April 4, from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Brunswick, Georgia.
Georgia Sea Grant-funded scientists from across the state will share their latest research on coastal topics, including sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, resilient communities and healthy coastal ecosystems. The symposium will also feature presentations by coastal managers, other researchers and students. A reception will follow.
Draft Symposium Agenda
On April 5, from 8:30 a.m. – Noon, a Prospective Researchers Workshop will be held for researchers who are developing competitive Sea Grant proposals. The workshop will help prospective researchers navigate the RFP process and will facilitate collaborations between academic and end-user communities.
Registration is required to participate in the Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant Research Symposium.
Students and Georgia Sea Grant Advisory Board members can attend free of charge. To RSVP, email Sara Karlsson at karlsson@uga.edu.
Call for lightning presentations!
This year we are offering attendees the opportunity to participate in a lightning-round session. We will ask you to give a 3-minute, 3-slide talk focused on you and your work. We are particularly interested in hearing from students, new faculty members, practitioners and stakeholders working on coastal issues in Georgia. Email Mona Behl (mbehl@uga.edu) for more information.
