During this free training, participants will learn about coastal water quality issues and become certified to be part of a multi-state monitoring group of environmental stewards. The event will include a presentation, short test and demonstration of monitoring protocols. Workshop activities will involve hands-on training on how to collect water quality data such as temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH and salinity. The Adopt-A-Wetland program is designed to increase public awareness of water quality issues, train citizens to monitor and protect wetlands and collect baseline wetland health data.
Ages 12 and up are welcome with an accompanying adult.
