Únase a nosotros para una sesión de capacitación gratuita Adopt-A-Wetland el sábado 11 de abril, de 9 a.m. a 1 p.m. en el University of Georgia Laboratorio de mariscos en Savannah. Conozca la importancia de nuestros humedales costeros y capacítese sobre cómo controlar su salud. El programa Adopt-A-Wetland está diseñado para aumentar la conciencia pública sobre los problemas de calidad del agua, capacitar a los ciudadanos para monitorear y proteger los humedales y recopilar datos básicos de salud del humedal.

Las actividades del taller incluirán capacitación práctica sobre cómo recopilar datos de calidad del agua, como temperatura, oxígeno disuelto, pH y salinidad. Los participantes también aprenderán cómo medir la biodiversidad de nuestros pantanos y vías fluviales. Esta sesión de capacitación es gratuita y abierta al público.

Join us for a free Adopt-A-Wetland training session on Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m at the University of Georgia Shellfish Lab in Savannah. Learn about the importance of our coastal wetlands and get trained on how to monitor their health. The Adopt-A-Wetland program is designed to increase public awareness of water quality issues, train citizens to monitor and protect wetlands and collect baseline wetland health data.

Workshop activities will involve hands-on training on how to collect water quality data such as temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, and salinity. Participants will also learn how to measure the biodiversity of our marshlands and waterways. This training session is free and open to the public.
