Friends of the Aquarium are invited to a special evening reception featuring a discussion about the connection between horseshoe crabs and shorebirds on the Georgia coast. Participants will have the opportunity to meet a live horseshoe crabs while hearing about their physical and behavioral characteristics. Marine educators will discuss the role that horseshoe crabs play in the annual migration of several important shorebird species that visit the Georgia coast.
