Join volunteer coordinator Katie Higgins to learn about phytoplankton, which are tiny algae floating in the water that produce the oxygen we breath and serve as an important food source for marine animals!

Download the accompanying activity sheet (available on the day of the program) for ideas of how to create your own plankton design at home. Submit a photo of your plankton model to public programs coordinator Kayla Clark by June 21 to have it considered as a featured design in the challenge.
