Come learn about our native pollinators and what you can do to attract and support them in your coastal communities! Join us as the EcoScapes Sustainable Land Use Program at UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant partners with Nancy Lee Adamson, Ph.D., Pollinator Conservation Specialist with The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. Keren Giovengo, UGA EcoScapes Program Manager, will speak on the diversity and importance of native pollinators and how to select, source, and design pollinator-friendly native plant habitats. Nancy will highlight native bees and their connections to native plants, other wildlife, watersheds, and our own well-being. We will visit the EcoScapes native plant demonstration garden following the presentations.
Pre-registration is required for free admission to the workshop. Bring a water bottle.
If you have any questions, contact Keren Giovengo at giovengo@uga.edu or (912) 280-1586.
