DESCRIPTION:Every Wednesday in June and July\, join aquarium staff for a 30-minute show-and-tell program featuring live animals such as horseshoe crabs\, snakes\, crabs\, and more! Creature Feature programs will take place outside at our covered pavilion\, which sits adjacent to the UGA Aquarium on Skidaway Island.    \n\n\n\nAll ages are welcome\, but children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  \n\n\n\nCreature Feature programs are included in the cost of admission to the UGA Aquarium. Registration is not required\, but please visit the front desk to purchase an aquarium ticket before heading to the pavilion. Learn more about admission fees here.  \n\n\n\n Questions? Contact Cindy Lingebach at calingeb@uga.edu or call 912-598-2344.

SUMMARY:Know Your Coast: Scalable Resilience from Chatham County (Webinar)
DESCRIPTION:Register\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis webinar will cover Chatham County’s Resilience Roadmap\, a county-led initiative focused on preparing for and responding to its most pressing challenges. We will review the project’s progress to date\, highlighting locally developed strategies designed for replication in other communities. By building on existing efforts and addressing critical gaps\, the Roadmap sets priority actions to create a safer\, stronger\, and more equitable community. \n\n\n\nThis webinar is open to local government employees and partners interested in enhancing community preparedness and resilience\, and the session will conclude with a live Q&A with the speakers. \n\n\n\nSpeakers: \n\n\n\n\nJackie Jackson serves as Chatham County’s Resilience Program Administrator\, having launched the County’s inaugural Resilience Program in 2022. Building on 17 years of leadership at the Metropolitan Planning Commission\, she leverages a career-long commitment to Savannah’s environmental stewardship and community planning.\n\n\n\nCourtney Reich\, coastal director for the Georgia Conservancy\, leads coastal conservation and community resilience efforts\, including the South Atlantic Salt Marsh Initiative’s Implementation Team. SUMMARY:Behind-the-Scenes Aquarium Tours
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEver wondered what goes on behind the scenes at the UGA Aquarium? You’re in luck! Spend the afternoon exploring our exhibits before learning what it’s like to care for our ambassador animals during tours led by aquarium staff. Participants will gain access to areas not typically open to the public. Animal feeding might also be part of the tour.     \n\n\n\nRegistration is required for all participants ages 3 and up and includes admission to the UGA Aquarium. All ages are welcome\, but children under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Strollers are not permitted in the back of the aquarium but can be stored in the lobby during the program. Tickets are non-refundable. Behind-the-scenes tours are offered every Wednesday in June and July.  \n\n\n\nQuestions? Contact Cindy Lingebach at calingeb@uga.edu or call 912-598-2344
