Young children will enjoy songs\, stories and activities with a seafood twist. This story-time will get the whole family excited about eating seafood and home. SUMMARY:Curated Catch: Stories of the Sea Wine Dinner
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor one night only\, Common Thread will be featuring a four-course dinner focused on the bounty of ingredients sourced from the sea. Each course will be thoughtfully paired with wine or cocktails curated by the Common Thread team. The evening will kick off with a welcome from Seafood Specialist Erin Arneson Purvis who works for UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant. A local seafood producer will share stories about their career\, and what it means to them. Both speakers will be there to converse over dinner. Come and see what the chefs have to serve up! \n\n\n\nA portion of each ticket sold will support Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant’s Shellfish Research Lab\, where researchers cultivate high-quality oysters\, train new farmers\, and study aquaculture practices that strengthen Georgia’s coastal economy and the environment. \n\n\n\nOctober is National Seafood Month\, and we’re highlighting seafood all month long through special programs and fundraisers!
