DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon learning to make copies of natural objects using biomaterials! For this workshop\, we use a 3D scanner and printer to copy a natural object of your choice and print using plant-based materials. Have a favorite shell or stone you’ve found? We’ll make colorful copies! Attendees will leave with a copy of their object and a basic knowledge of 3D scanners and printers. \n\n\n\nRegistration is required for participants ages 3 and up and includes admission to the UGA Aquarium. Content is best suited for ages 18 and up\, but all ages are welcome. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult. DESCRIPTION:Discover the tiny organisms that power our coastal ecosystems in this hands-on family program at the UGA Aquarium! Join an educator for a plankton tow from the aquarium dock and collect samples from the Skidaway River to see what microscopic life is drifting beneath the surface. \n\n\n\nAfter gathering your plankton\, head inside to investigate your catch under microscopes. You’ll learn about the different kinds of plankton and discover why these tiny organisms are the foundation of the marine food web. Join us for a closer look at the small creatures that make a big impact on our coast! \n\n\n\nRegistration is required and includes admission to the UGA Aquarium. Ages 8 and older are welcome\, but children under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Closed toe shoes are needed for this event. SUMMARY:Behind-the-Scenes Aquarium Tours
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEver wondered what goes on behind the scenes at the UGA Aquarium? You’re in luck! Spend the afternoon exploring our exhibits before learning what it’s like to care for our ambassador animals during tours led by aquarium staff. Participants will gain access to areas not typically open to the public. Animal feeding might also be part of the tour.     \n\n\n\nRegistration is required for all participants ages 3 and up and includes admission to the UGA Aquarium. All ages are welcome\, but children under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
