DESCRIPTION:Every Friday\, guests can witness mealtime in the aquarium as marine educators feed a variety of animals. Learn fascinating facts about their diets\, behaviors and feeding techniques while watching marine life enjoy their meals.   \n\n\n\nAll ages are welcome\, but children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  \n\n\n\nFriday Feeding programs are included in the cost of admission to the UGA Aquarium. Registration is not required. Learn more about admission fees here.   \n\n\n\nQuestions? Contact Shannon Matzke at shannon.matzke@uga.edu or call 912-598-2446.

SUMMARY:Between the Tides: Salt Marsh Plant Ecology
DESCRIPTION:Register\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis course introduces participants to the plants that define the salt marsh\, their unique adaptions\, and the ecological forces that shape this productive habitat. After a classroom overview of salt marsh formation\, zonation\, species diversity and conservation challenges\, we will walk through the maritime forest to the salt marsh to observe plant communities up close. Along the way\, we’ll practice plant identification\, investigate ecological relationships and discover how coastal plants have supported both wildlife and human communities over time.   \n\n\n\nRegistration is required and includes admission to the UGA aquarium.

DESCRIPTION:REGISTER\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis webinar will cover Georgia’s economic outlook\, providing a comprehensive analysis of the key forces driving state and regional growth. \n\n\n\n\nReview state-level projections for GDP\, employment\, major industry trends\, population growth and housing\n\n\n\nA targeted evaluation of the coastal economy across the Savannah and Brunswick Metropolitan Statistical Areas\n\n\n\nExamine emerging developments like data centers and highlight decision-making tools\n\n\n\n\nThe session sets practical priorities to help local leaders drive sustainable economic growth.  \n\n\n\nThis webinar is open to local government officials\, economic development professionals and community partners interested in leveraging economic data for strategic planning\, and the session will conclude with a live Q&A with the speaker. \n\n\n\nSpeaker: Alexandra Hill is a research faculty member at UGA’s Selig Center for Economic Growth. She has nine years of experience in economic analysis. Hill previously worked at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government where she conducted tax studies for the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts. Hill’s previous clients include the Bill Gates Foundation\, the Georgia Department of Economic Development\, the Georgia Ports Authority\, and the University System of Georgia Board of Regents. As a public service assistant\, she consults with public and private clients to conduct customized economic impact studies.
