The UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium is located on Skidaway Island, less than 30 minutes from downtown Savannah. Home to Georgia’s first saltwater aquarium, it features 16 exhibit tanks that showcase a variety of Georgia’s marine life.

Trawl to Trash Estuary Trawl
Climb aboard the aquarium’s R/V Sea Dawg, for a trawl in Wassaw Sound! Participants will learn how to identify different types of marine life found in tidal rivers while learning about our Trawl to Trash program, which is designed to prevent litter from entering the marine environment.
