Interactive Exhibits

The aquarium’s saltwater tanks feature diverse marine life found on the coast. A public touch tank allows visitors to get up close and personal with marine invertebrates such as whelks and crabs. Interactive educational exhibits provide information about Georgia’s unique coastal environment.

Outdoor Picnic Area

Enjoy lunch under the live oak trees along the bank of the Skidaway River. The bluff has a covered pavilion, picnic tables and benches for visitors to enjoy.

As you walk enter the aquarium, you will walk through the Skidaway Learning Garden, a great resource for those who wish to learn about native plants and animals.

Meet our ambassadors

Our display tanks feature more than 100 marine animals typical of the habitats found along the Georgia coast. Discover different themes and species as you walk from offshore, live bottom reefs to inshore tidal creeks.

Visit bottom-dwelling horseshoe crabs and stingrays, schooling fish like striped mullet and pompano, sportfish, oddly shaped fish like the longnose gar and the seahorses, incredible creatures like the loggerhead sea turtle, and invasive species like the red lionfish.
