Find the tools and information needed to manage and promote your Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant–funded project.

Review reporting requirements that support academic and administrative excellence, publication and acknowledgment standards, and communications resources to help amplify the impact of your work.

Reporting Guidelines

Reports are a required condition of Sea Grant funding and are essential for communicating project achievements to NOAA’s National Sea Grant College program, state and local partners, other sponsors, and, when appropriate, the public. These reports support project evaluation and continuation decisions, document publications and impacts and inform outreach materials.

Required reports include:

  • Annual progress reports
  • Final project reports
  • Post‑project follow‑up reports, upon request

All reports are submitted through our online portal, eseagrant.uga.edu.

Publications

Publishing research results is a key measure of project success. Investigators and students are expected to publish findings in appropriate scholarly and/or informal outlets. All publications must properly acknowledge Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant and NOAA, and we must be notified of all publications, even after the project ends.

All print and electronic materials resulting from Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant funding must include the required acknowledgment statement. When this is not feasible (e.g., posters, presentations, workshop materials), our logo should be used.

For Biennial Awards, Program Development Awards or Research Trainee Awards:

Acknowledgement Statement: This publication is supported in part by an institutional grant NA24OARX417C0160-T1-01 to Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant from the National Sea Grant Office under the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce.

For Artists, Writers, and Scholars recipients:

Acknowledgement Statement: This project was supported by the University of Georgia Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant’s Artists, Writers and Scholars Program, with funding from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Communications

In addition to preparing reports and publications, we encourage you to collaborate with our communications team throughout the life of your project. We can help develop targeted communications products, research summaries, and press releases to highlight your work.

Our team can also facilitate connections with extension and education faculty and coastal stakeholders to expand support and effectively share your findings and outputs during and after the project period.
