David Hecht serves as the Reporting and Evaluation Coordinator, joining the program in January 2026. He brings expertise in program evaluation, applied conservation research, and interdisciplinary data integration to strengthen how the program measures, understands, and communicates its impacts. He works across research, extension, and education teams to guide reporting processes, support evidence-based decision-making, and translate project outcomes into actionable insights for partners and leadership.

Previously, he worked as a Social Scientist with the National Park Service’s (NPS) Natural Resources Stewardship and Science Directorate (NRSS). He holds a PhD in Integrative Conservation from the University of Georgia.
