Know Your Coast: Scalable Resilience from Chatham County (Webinar)

This webinar will cover Chatham County’s Resilience Roadmap, a county-led initiative focused on preparing for and responding to its most pressing challenges. We will review the project’s progress to date, highlighting locally developed strategies designed for replication in other communities. By building on existing efforts and addressing critical gaps, the Roadmap sets priority actions to create a safer, stronger, and more equitable community.

This webinar is open to local government employees and partners interested in enhancing community preparedness and resilience, and the session will conclude with a live Q&A with the speakers.

Speakers:

• Jackie Jackson serves as Chatham County’s Resilience Program Administrator, having launched the County’s inaugural Resilience Program in 2022. Building on 17 years of leadership at the Metropolitan Planning Commission, she leverages a career-long commitment to Savannah’s environmental stewardship and community planning.
• Courtney Reich, coastal director for the Georgia Conservancy, leads coastal conservation and community resilience efforts, including the South Atlantic Salt Marsh Initiative’s Implementation Team. She brings over 20 years of experience in environmental planning, specializing in helping public sector clients across coastal Georgia solve complex stormwater and land use challenges.
