Join us for an Ocean to Table program focused on Georgia grown oysters! These shellfish are delicious, nutritious, and sustainably grown in Georgia’s coastal estuaries. During this hands-on program, you’ll learn about oyster biology, seafood safety and nutrition from Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant experts. You will also be able to meet a local shellfish farmer from Revival Oyster Company, Glynn County’s first oyster mariculture operation. Revival Oyster Co. grows their Gemstone oysters in Jointer Creek behind Jekyll Island. The program will wrap up with a cooking demonstration and tasting of a recipe made with Revival Oyster Co’s freshly harvested Georgia oysters.
Registration is required for all participants. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Tickets are nonrefundable.
