The State of the Georgia Coast is a three-day symposium hosted Sept. 21 – 23, 2023 on Tybee Island that invites participants to learn about challenges and solutions impacting coastal communities and the marine environment.
During the event, leading experts in marine science, policy and resource management will highlight pressing issues and discuss collaborative approaches to solving them. The goal is to facilitate interactions between the academic community, residents, coastal managers, and local officials while providing professional development and networking opportunities for all participants. The symposium will also feature lightning talks and a student posters session. The State of the Coast will take place at Hotel Tybee on Tybee Island. Lodging at Hotel Tybee is also available.
Standard registration is $100 through Aug. 15. On Aug. 16, registration will increase to $150. Student registration is $50.
The deadline to register is Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023.
