Celebrate Seafood Month this October at The Fish Dock Bar & Grill in Townsend, GA! All month long, 10% of Georgia oyster and clam sales will be donated to UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant’s Shellfish Research Lab on Skidaway Island.
Oysters and clams sold at the The Fish Dock are a Georgia-grown product. Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant’s Shellfish Research Lab works closely with Georgia’s shellfish farmers, including Sapelo Sea Farms, by producing high-quality oyster and clam seed. The lab also trains new farmers and studies aquaculture practices that strengthen Georgia’s coastal economy and the environment.
The month-long event will kick off on October 1 and will run through October 31. Come enjoy a fresh seafood dish and help support the growth of shellfish aquaculture in Georgia!
