The Brunswick office sits on a three-acre site along the banks of the Brunswick River, serving as a hub for applied research and hands-on technical support.

Specialists work closely with communities to develop practical, innovative solutions that protect marine resources while sustaining local livelihoods.

Nationally known for its work with commercial fishermen and Turtle Exclusion Devices, the office also leads programs focused on water resources, seafood safety, stormwater management, sustainable land use, and nature-based solutions. Specialists provide technical guidance and demonstrations to promote sustainable fishing practices, green infrastructure, and effective water conservation strategies.

Researchers in the Coastal Ecology Lab study reptiles to better understand how development and human activity impact their health and behavior.
