Student internships provide opportunities for currently enrolled undergraduate students to get hands-on experience in the work of UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant.

Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant provides internship opportunities for undergraduate students from colleges and universities across the state. These internships are geared towards students interested in expanding their practical experience through public service, outreach, education, communications and scientific research. Students who want to learn more about environmental education, marine science, fisheries and aquaculture, water quality, sustainable landscapes, coastal hazards, water resources or stormwater management are welcome to apply for an internship. Depending on the student’s home institution, it may be possible to earn credit hours for internship work with Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant at one of our three locations; Athens, Savannah or Brunswick. Internships are offered seasonally, with 8-10 week Summer Internships opening annually.
