Bethany Brodbeck joined the team in April 2025 as the Assistant Aquarium Curator at the UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium. Her main duties include animal care and aquarium exhibit maintenance. She also enjoys helping with tours and collecting specimens.

Brodbeck is originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania, but has spent time in Maine and Delaware earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in marine science. During that time, she worked on a variety of research projects focused on shark-fisherman interactions. She is passionate about community outreach, conservation, and education, and is excited to bring her experiences and knowledge to the team. In her free time, Brodbeck loves exploring Georgia with her partner and dog.
