Fall Internships

Fall Semester Internship, For Academic Credit: These non-paid internships give students an opportunity to get hands-on experience during the semester while earning credit through his/her institution.

In order to receive credit for an internship, student must see an academic advisor prior to submitting a pre-application for the internship. Semester-based internships run 10-12 weeks and have a more flexible weekly schedule to accommodate a student’s scholarly obligations. In order to receive credit at the end of his/her internship term, a student must complete a project that he/she has worked to develop with the intern supervisor. The project will be mutually beneficial to the intern as well as the organization.

 

For Credit Opportunities

Fall Semester Internship, Not For Academic Credit: These non-paid internships are designed to give students hands-on experience in the field of marine and environmental sciences. Semester-based internships run 10-12 weeks and have a more flexible weekly schedule to accommodate a student’s scholarly obligations. At the completion of the internship, the student must complete a presentation for UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant faculty and staff that shows what he/she has learned through the internship.

How to Apply 

Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on July 20, 2023, via the online submission system, eSeaGrant.
