Georgia Marine Debris Community Workshop

This half-day workshop will bring together partners from across research, academia, education and outreach, nonprofits, and government to strengthen Georgia’s collective efforts to understand and prevent marine debris. 

The agenda will include: 

• Lightning presentations highlighting current or past marine debris work in Georgia 
• A short overview from NOAA on the Marine Debris Program and regional priorities 
• Facilitated breakout sessions to identify opportunities and next steps for Georgia 

We are also planning an optional marine debris–related outing following the workshop and will share more details soon.
